Summer Gathering 2025

Show Report

Our first Summer Gathering took place on the 18th/19th/20th July. A relaxed informal get together of Local Land Rovers.

It was a great day for the group and Land Rover owners in Shropshire, we called and you came! THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to travel and attend the Gathering in the Hills Event. Thank you also for the kind words and the photos that have been posted on our Facebook page, they are truely awesome and all capture the spirit of the event.

A total of 90 Land Rovers came rolling in on the day, what a fantastic sight seeing everyone, bonnets up chatting away and thoroughly enjoying themselves. We have not seen an event like this in Shropshire before and hope to go bigger and better next year.

The event raised nearly £2000 for the chosen charities, Lingen Davies and Guide Dogs. A big thankyou also for the various organisations that supported the show providing raffle prizes and donations.

We were fortunate to have special guests from Classic Land Rover Magazine join us on the day.

Our Britpart sponsored Best Land Rover in Show went to a beautiful 1958 Series 2, expertly restored by proud owner Mike Tait. The meticulous restoration took 4 years to complete and has to be one of the best examples on the road. The trophy was judged and presented by Alistair Myers from Britpart, Well done Mike, a worthy winner!!!

So now our focus will be on making next years event bigger and better. We look forward to welcoming all of you Classic Land Rover owners one and all to celebrate the love we have for the marque. We hope to see you next year, the dates for your diary are the 17th,18th and 19th of July.
